An Ideal Dental Adhesive For Caries-affected Dentine

Unlike other dental adhesives, the Plus has the same high bond strength when adhering to caries-affected dentine as it does to sound dentine.In addition to the excellent quality of the restoration margins, it seals caries-affected dentine by forming a well-defined, void-free hybrid layer. The quality of this layer is what prevents secondary decay, so restoration margins are vital.

Compared to the 3M Scotchbond Universal Adhesive, the Plus performed better for glass ceramic bonding. After the glass ceramic was etched with HF acid, a favourable ‘immediate’ and ‘aged’ share bond strength was recorded.
